George is 15 years old and lives just outside Sereolipi village. His father died in 1998 and his mother never remarried. She has brought up George and his 3 sisters on her own. Her income comes from fetching water from the river bed for people in town and washing clothes. She has managed to send of all of them to school. They are one of poorest families in Sereolipi.
George had marks in his KCPE of 305. He is very committed to secondary school as he is focused on achieving a better life and helping his mother and siblings. He sees secondary school and the job that it will lead as crucial for this.
