Michael was born in 1996 and he has 3 brothers and one sister and they are all at school. He comes from the Ndonyo Wasin area and his family can trace their ancestors back to the hunter gatherers that used to live in the mountains nearby. Both his parents have some schooling although they were both taken out of school by their parents before they completed their primary school education. His father and mother have no cows or goats. His father survives by doing casual work around the village such as construction or security detail.
Michael achieved marks of 294 in his exams. He is a great reader— he read 75 books last year!
