ABOUT
Samson joined Sereolipi primary school in 1999 when he was 10 years old and in the 8 years at school he has consistently been one of the top performing students in his class.
Samson’s parents are extremely poor. They live on the outskirts of the village and have no goats and cattle. Samson’s father makes money by collecting firewood from the surrounding area and selling it in the village. The work is hard and his income unpredictable. For the past year Samson has been staying with his older married sister because his mother has been very sick. Without this scholarship there would no way that Samson’s father could ever afford to send Samson to secondary school.
Samson graduated from Sereolipi Primary School in 2007 scoring 267 marks in the Kenya national examination. In school he has worked hard and been a proactive, energetic contributor to class activities. He loves sports and is on the soccer team.
